The piece is iridescent blues, greens and purples and is VERY heavy. Strands of the same iridescent glass are wrapped around the bottle. It has a clear glass stopper. Note that my grandmother had stored Yves St. Lauren “Paris” perfume in this bottle and the unused portion evaporated over time leaving some oils behind in the bottle. I have washed the bottle several times but the scent persists. There are three small breaks in the glass strands going around the piece. I cannot tell if these are chips that are missing or just where the glass strand broke in the creation process. There is also a rough area under the opening that appears to be part of the glass and not a flaw. The bottle is signed on the bottom “Eickholt 1985″. This is one of his earliest pieces. The perfume bottle measures approximately 4.5″ tall with the stopper and 3.25″ wide at widest point. Eickholt glass is no longer being produced – the artist announced his retirement in 2013.
