Murano – Clichy Replica – Sulphide Magnum Glass Paperweight Napoleon. This a Sulphide Magnum hand-made glass paperweight made in Italy and distributed by KB Brothers made in mid 20th century and distributed before 1977. This is a (not exact) replica of a Clichy Sulphide crystal glass paperweight of Napolean Bonaparte with an intentionally placed bubble above where a sulphide tiny star should be in Clichy paperweight. This lead glass paperweight measures approximately 3 7/8″ wide and 2 3/8″ high and a few ounces short of 2 pounds with a translucent cranberry red base and has 16 ray etched star on the bottom. The paperweight has no internal flaws that I can see. There is a bubble which I believe was intentionally placed after seeing the Clichy paperweight with sulphide star. There is a 1/2 scratch and very tiny bubble on top of paperweight which doesn’t interfere with beauty of paperweight. There is some minor wear which can be seen with magnification. This beautiful paperweight would be a great addition to your collection, especially if you do not have any sulphide paperweights. I added last photo of Clichy paperweight with blue base so you can see the star. This is not for sale, just shown so you can see the star and location on Clichy paperweight.

Antique Clichy millefiori and roses chequer paperweight. Two concentric rings of spaced millefiori, including ruffles and pastry molds, are loosely separated by white latticinio tubes. Three iconic green and pink roses appear in a spaced row at the center of the design. An underlying layer of parallel rows of latticinio supports the design.

Antique Miniature French Clichy paperweight. The factory closed in 1885 but stopped making paperweights in the 1860′s so that will give you some idea of this paperweights age. 8 traditional Clichy canes surround a central green one in a clear base. I don’t find any cracks, chips or flea-bites tho I see some “as made” lines around a few canes. Please refer to photos.

Offered here for your consideration is an Antique 19c CLICHY Paperweight Quatrefoil Purple Pink Garlands on Muslin Ground from the mid to late 19th century. It is in overall good condition with two noticeable bruises underneath muslin ground on side and a few chips to foot ring. The paperweight has been repolished. The surface of dome still shows signs where lots of small scratches and bruises may have been. Several small bruises still visible on dome. Has some surface scratches and scuffing still here and there and other light expected signs of wear commensurate with age. Probably a candidate to be re-polished by a skilled professional.
