SELKIRK VINTAGE PETER HOLMES VERY LIMITED EDITION (#27/75) 1985 “CHRISTMAS BELLS” GLASS PAPERWEIGHT ON PINK LACE. COMES WITH BOX AS PICTURED. TWO BRIGHT BLUE AND WHITE BELLS HANG FROM A PIECE OF GREEN HOLLY WITH RED BERRIES. THERE’S A GLITTERY REDISH AVENTURINE BOW AS WELL AND IT’S SET ON CLEAR BUT SURROUNDED BY A PRETTY, VERY DELICATE PINK AND WHITE LACE “BASKET” EFFECT. WEIGHS 14 OUNCES AND IS APPROXIMATELY 2.9″ W X 2″ H “PH” SIGNATURE CANE IN THE BASE ALONG WITH INSCRIBED: “SELKIRK GLASS SCOTLAND 27/75 1985″. IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, NO ISSUES TO REPORT.

Vintage 1979 Selkirk Glass Paperweight “Sea Bed” Signed Peter Holmes 69/200!! Very early in Peter’s career!! With solid black base. Not seen in later paperweights. Selkirk was founded in 1977 by Peter Holmes and Ron Hutchinson. Peter apprenticed under Paul Ysart at Caithness from 1963 and continued at Caithness until 1977. Ron Hutchinson was also at Caithness. Selkirk produced a wide range of paperweight styles including abstract, lampwork and millefiori paperweights. The company was located in Selkirk, Scotland in the Borders Region. Peter Holmes left Selkirk in 2002 to start Scottish Borders Art Glass with his son, Andrew, at Galalaw, Hawick. Comes with Box and. Card as seen in pictures. Fuzzy 1 spots on the left side of the pictures is from my camera. Use the pictures to determine the worth to you. Paperweight in pictures is what you will receive. I don’t shortcut. Stunning Vintage Selkirk Paperweight 2 x Violet Poinsettia/2 buds on Latticino

Extremely Rare Stunning Selkirk Lampwork Paperweight with a white concentric Latticino background two violet poinsettia with two additional buds. The Poinsettia have a number of vibrant green leaves behind the flowers. The polished base has a Selkirk label and some coding (TR18 4LB/6) etched into the rim (not sure what this means, it may be a personal identification number). At the centre of the base, where the Latticino meets centrally is a small clear circle, look through this circle towards the centre of the weight to find a small signature cane with the letters PH (Peter Holmes). This is one of the most attractive paperweights of it’s type that I have seen. The Latticino is magnificent, layered concentrically around the base of the paperweight it provides a beautiful backdrop to the lampwork flowers. The paperweight is in near perfect condition with no marks, chips or blemishes on the body and some tiny manufacturing creases to the base. Measurement from base to mid dome 8cm, circumference 24cm at widest point, 7cms tall.
