Vintage Orient & Flume Glass Paperweight ca. Offered is another amazing glass paperweight made by Orient & Flume of Chico, California. Titled Frosted hearts and flower, this paperweight comes with the original felt bag, box and a descriptive pamphlet. This paperweight has a clear frosted background with iridescent vines connecting a blue flower and five bright red hearts. Rising from the base are a series of iridescent pulled feather designs. This paperweight is marked Orient & Flume and with what looks like F 64 JL 1980. Orient and Flume has been making one-of-a-kind art glass creations since 1972 in their studios in Chico, Ca. The name Orient & Flume comes from the location of their first studio near the intersection of Orient and Flume Streets. They are still in operation in the newer studio on Park Avenue in Chico. Orient & Flume has permanent collections in the most prestigious museums in the world. Dimension/size This paperweight is right at 2 ¾ in diameter. It weighs about 1.5 pounds. Condition This paperweight is in pristine condition. It doesnt have any condition issues and appears to have never been displayed as the polished bottom is almost in perfect condition. The only issue has to do with the pamphlet. This paperweight was one of several in a collection and apparently this pamphlet belongs to a different Orient & Flume paperweight.
