Robert Eickholt has created some of the most extraordinary art pieces in American contemporary glass art for more than 30 years. Eickholt studied glassblowing in Berkley, California, later continuing his studies at Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art & Design. Eickholt Glass Studio was founded in 1979. Eickholt’s career, he experimented with various glass techniques that led him to create new decorative techniques that are distinctive of Eickholt Glass Company. Many of the techniques used today involve the use of precious medals such as silver and gold, as well as rare oxides such as cobalt and dichroic glass. Robert Eickholt Art Glass is highly collectible and will continue to increase in value as Mr. Eickholt announced in May 2013 that he has retired.
