This vintage, discontinued nautical paperweight was only produced a few years in the early 1990s and discontinued. Note: This is a medium -s ize Baccarat Nautilus Shell Crystal paperweight , designed by Baccarat master craftsman, Thomas Bastide. No ch ips, cracks, or significant flaws of any kind!! It measures 4 inches long, 3 inches tall, and almost 1 3/4 inches at its widest, on the bottom – they are in exquisite condition! It weigh s 1 5 oz. T he signature script “Baccarat”, is etched on the side edge of the Schell and t he etched Baccarat symbol/mark is on the bottom (See images). Baccarat France MACEDOINE Paperweight Excellent Condition. Macedoine weights have the appeal of canes stirred randomly in a pleasing pattern of color and light enclosed in the typically brilliant glass that is distinctively Baccarat. These colors are unusually beautiful, jewel tones of royal blue, crisp mint green, deep pink, rose, violet and white plus others interspersed as well. The multiple canes are well packed and pleasing in their positioning. The Baccarat identity design logo can be seen etched in the base of the weight. This is a lovely paper weight and its magnification and clarity are excellent. The colors are much brighter in natural light than my photos show. Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip The Duke Of Edinburgh, Prince Charles The Prince Of Wales & Princess Anne, in harlequin colours, amethyst, blue, green and amber. Queen Elizabeth II has a nibble on the base see photo. Princess Anne has a small nibble see photo. Prince Philip The Duke Of Edinburgh has a nibble on the base see photo. Sulphides Paperweights are those that contain cast objects made of a ceramic material that has properties similar to the surrounding glass.
