HTF Vintage Francis Whittemore Minnesota Showy Lady’s Slipper Paperweight Rare

It has been in storage in his smoke-free home for the past 20+ years. It deserves the chance to be better appreciated! This paperweight features a pink and white Minnesota Showy Lady’s Slipper with green leaves on a blue background. It is about 2 1/4″ in diameter and 1 3/4″ high (at the peak). The base is flat with a concave center. It is signed as mentioned in the condition description with Whittemore’s signature cane — a black W on a yellow background on the underside of one of the green leaves. It also is etched with the number 09 (or possibly 60) on the bottom. I gave it a gentle polish with a dry microfiber cloth, and I did notice a couple of minor flaws (very tiny surface scratches) on the top of the paperweight as I tried to show in the photos. Please note that any bright white in any of the photos are just reflections from my overhead lights or windows. I took photos in lots of different types of light and lots of angles to highlight the beauty of this paperweight despite its minor flaws. Please see the photos for up-close details as part of this description, and please note the stand is not included. Please message me with any questions before purchasing. Also, if you are interested, please see my other listings for more rare Whittemore paperweights.

Rollin Karg Papeweight, Vintage Rare Mid Century Rollin Karg Signed Glass Art Paperweight, MCM. Bring that spectacular look that only hand made art glass can bring with this beautiful Rollin Karg piece to any home, room, collection or gift. Rollin Karg, engineer turned photographer, turned potter, turned woodworker, turned glassblower, turned his one-time hobbies into a fulltime career. He attributes his artistic inclination in part to a strong desire to work with his hands, coupled with the inspiring, park like location of the gallery in Kechi, Kansas. Rollin studied hot glass at Emporia State University, commuting from Wichita while building his first furnace. He originally came to Wichita, KS to attend Wichita University on a football scholarship but soon found his interest not in tradition schooling and left to pursue his glass blowing. Rollin no longer blows glass but has kept himself active in the art world. Excellent vintage condition, no cracks or repairs (there is a rough spot in top center, looks to be maybe where the glass was broken off/pontil mark). Measurements: Approx: 7″H x 1 3/4″W. (date of manufacture year is an estimate).
