As described at the time:’A rare faceted St. Louis double-clematis on Amber-flash ground weight, 19th Century. The blue clematis flower has several overlapping rows of ribbed petals surrounding a red and yellow cane stamen center. A short curved green stem has 5 leaves surrounding the flower which rests on an amber-flash ground. 5 side facets, 1 center. Weighs 1.6 lbs and is approximately 3.1″ W X 2.2″ H.
