I’m offering a brilliant example of an AQUARIUM GLASS PAPERWEIGHT BLOCK SCULPTURE made in MURANO ITALY. Early 1940′s-50′s from workshop of GINO CENEDESE. Alfred Barbini/Riccardo Licata design style. Features an intricate underwater landscape with three (3) fish suspended is if swimming (photo). Strands of seaweed, bubbles and gold adventurine “sand”. Encased in clear, solid glass, wavy is in underwater current and polished. Colored with blue base that reflects upwards (photo). Measures approximately 3 1/2″ height, 5 1/2″ across, 2 3/4 width. Unsigned with original RED FOIL STICKER still affixed (photo). I note a surface pop from manifacture (last photo). Scuff on underside from prior shelf display (photo). Otherwise, VERY GOOD, preowned, vintage, used condition. No other chips, cracks, breaks, hairlines or restorations that I can see. As is, as found. Add to your collection!
