Welcome to Shelby’s Picks Beautiful Art Glass Millefiori Door Knob/Paperweight. Cast solid brass base. I believe this is Perthshire Scotland but the paper label is missing. In Excellent used condition, very colorful without chips, cracks or repairs. It has a tiny scuff on the top & a white spot under the glass. Measures: 2-1/2″ wide at the base x 3-1/4″ tall. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1999 Signed Glass Eye Studio (GES) Celestial Solar-System 12 Planet Glass Paperweight. The Rainbow-colored Solar System is a round paperweight encased in clear-fluted glass. You can see the Sun in the middle with 9 Planets circling around it. Photo #2 is taken looking directly down on the paperweight and you can see all 9 planets. The front is cut on an angle. This is a Wonderful, Affordable way to start, or add to, your Paperweight Collection. It was hard to capture the colors so I photographed it on a couple of different surfaces. Color maybe slightly Lighter or Darker in person. CONDITION: Overall in Very Good Preowned, Vintage condition. No Major Chips, Scratches, Cracks, or Breaks. There is a Small Rough Area with a Couple of Dings. It is very hard to see Please see Photo #9. The original box has been lost to time. Signed Lundberg Studios 1979 + LM5195Y or LM5/95Y (artist’s red pastel mixture added for photo purposes and has been removed). Weight: 15.5 ounces. Girth(its equator) approximately 6” around. Theme: A single bird with bi-colored(one blue and one violet) wings against a half-dome of 4 impressed stars below and the iridescence of a”sun” above soars over a”sea” of pearlescent white waves and iridescent currents of teal and deep purple. What might appear as damage to the bird was created by the artist for breast feathers. Additional photos available upon request. Questions or comments are invited.
