This is a unique art glass paperweight or decor by “Eickholt” in 12/1995. It measures about 5.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall. It is about 2.75 inches thick. It weighs 2 lb 5 oz. It is signed ” Eickholt 1995.12 WMTA”. It is hard to capture its beauty but the iridescent surface is magnificent. It is previously owned and I found no issue to mention! A can of soda is placed for size reference and not included. Please review the pictures, description and ask all the necessary questions before purchasing this item as all sales are final! Robert Eickholt is a renowned glass artisan who studied glass blowing in Berkeley, California. He completed his graduate studies at Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art and Design. In 1978, he opened Eickholt Glass Studio in Columbus, Ohio. He is best-known for incorporating precious metals and oxides into his various creations, including vases, perfume bottles, paperweights and sculptures. Robert Eickholt Circa 1994 large decorative paperweight with Dichroic design within the globe. While the exterior seems like an unfinished piece, looking a little further, there is a hidden treasure on the other side of the curve. Different circular viewpoints exist to a fantastic world hidden behind the iridescent finish. The exterior color is almost a gunmetal green but has purple, yellow, and hints of orange. The interior is controlled/suspended with two teardrops in the center of opalescent vertical lines. Measurements are 4 1/2″ Tall x 4″ measured across the center. The openings to view the interior are 1 1/8″ in Diameter connecting to the larger 1 1/4 x 1 1/4″. The two separate areas are 2 1/4″ and 2 5/8″ and weighs 3 LBS 15 OZ unpacked.
