Spectacular Vintage OR Antique Magnum Lily Millefiori Art Glass Paperweight. Please note I’m not an expert in collectible paperweight, but I can see it’s beautiful and unusual. It’s about 6.25″ wide at widest part x 5.75″ tall. The bottom is rough as shown and has no signature. There is a large blue lily in the center surrounded by four clear trumpet and “snow” flakes waves. The bottom has a millefiori sort of pattern. There a a couple of minor scratches, and imperfections which are mentioned for accuracy. Weighs over 10 lbs. I do my best to accurately represent the items I sell. RARE VINTAGE CLICHY MILLEFIORI GARLAND QUATREFOIL PAPERWEIGHT w/BIG PINK ROSE. This is a beautiful vintage Clichy paperweight from the French Classic Period… Expertly crafted with a brilliant pattern using cheerful complex canes and rich colors! It features a charming quatrefoil design with 2 different interlacing millefiori garland loops on clear ground. At the center of the weight is a big pink/green rose cane, surrounded by 2 concentric rings of complex millefiori canes. The glass fluoresces green under a black light. It measures approx 3 1/8″ in diameter and just under 2 3/8″ high. It weighs 1 lb 8.5 oz. It is in excellent condition… Just a few little fleabites and faint hitmarks, and a small shallow nick near the base and minor surface wear to the base. ANTIQUE CLICHY FACETED CONCENTRIC MILLEFIORI PAPERWEIGHT WITH 11 ROSES. Antique Clichy Faceted Concentric Millefiori Paperweight with 11 roses. This wonderful antique Clichy concentric millefiori paperweight has a classic arrangement of three concentric rings of complex millefiori around a blue pastry mold cane. The inner ring has eleven green and white roses. The second ring consists of fifteen pink pastry mold canes. The outer ring has an alternating pattern of 24 canes with six purple pastry mold canes and 18 pink and green canes. The 18 pink and green complex canes resemble the color of pink and green roses. In all, there are 51 millefiori canes over a clear ground. The canes are intricate and very colorful. See the close-up picture for more detail. There are six side facets and a top facet. Clichy paperweights are highly sought after by collectors for their complex canes and brilliant colors. Clichy paperweights with rose canes are especially desirable. The Clichy factory was founded at Billancourt near Paris in 1837. Shortly after that it moved to Clichy-la-Garenne, which gave the factory its best known name. They stayed in operation until about the 1870s. Size: 2 5/8″ diameter by 1 3/4″ high. The base is ground concave. Condition: Very good condition. There are scratches and small chips on the body and chips on some of the facets, but no cracks and no impact marks. There is wear on the base. There is plenty of glass and the paperweight could be restored, but I chose not to do so. Signature: Unsigned but I guarantee this to be an authentic antique Clichy paperweight. Execution: Very good execution. The design is well centered. There are some bubbles in the glass. Allan’s Paperweights is owned by Allan Port. Offered here for your consideration is an Antique 19c CLICHY Paperweight Quatrefoil Purple Pink Garlands on Muslin Ground from the mid to late 19th century. It is in overall good condition with two noticeable bruises underneath muslin ground on side and a few chips to foot ring. The paperweight has been repolished. The surface of dome still shows signs where lots of small scratches and bruises may have been. Several small bruises still visible on dome. Has some surface scratches and scuffing still here and there and other light expected signs of wear commensurate with age. Probably a candidate to be re-polished by a skilled professional. A really nice Coencentric pattern with a really Pretty Boquet of Colors! A nice piece from my collection. There are as, in most this type, Bottomside, inside, a couple tiny annealing cracks from When It Was Made. No damage & virtually unnoticeable for 150 years now! You can see the flashbulb reflecting on underside pic. The white rod on stave basket looks like ambient light reflection is it, annealing cracking inside glass from when it was cooling down that week or so in ihe oven, when it was made, just like hundred more of this type.
