Vintage Perthshire concentric Millefiori Paperweight w/ dark black brown Background. A stunning paperweight measuring about 2.75″ wide x 1.75″ tall. Paperweight is in excellent condition! The cane and twisted ribbons, the wheel, spokes design set-up, and the treatment of the bottom are all typical of a Perthshire. It has a black/ brown ground with 15 radiation spirals divided by with millefiori canes. The center cluster a mid row canes with inner stars. Will be listing my collection of Paperweights. Antique Shop in Massachusetts. And other area Antique shops. They were given to me years ago by a family member. Guessing they were collected over time during the early half of the 1900′s. 30′s to 50′s? No idea of actual dates. This beauty has a “snowy” white base. Circle of pretty green 4 leaf clovers. They even have marked veins on each leaf. The outer and inner rings have what looks like red licorice tubes. Between these circles are controlled small bubbles with about equal spacing. See outer ring for these. Placed, same size bubbles all the way around in photo 1. Clear Glass domed top. Measures approximately 3 in. A nice heavy paperweight in near mint condition. No chips or cracks. Foil label on the bottom. Murano Glass Made in Italy. May have a rub here and there under strong. Magnification, but looks about perfect with the naked eye. Nice addition to any collection. Well cared for piece packed away for many years. All best offers seriously considered.
