Details + Condition: Very scarce Murano glass crown design paperweight bearing a “Bigaglia” paper label on the bottom, referring the famous glass designer Pietro Bigaglia. Bigaglia was a mid-19th century Venetian glass designer who invented filigree glass designs in paperweights. The label on the bottom reads, “Vetri Di Murano, Bigaglia, Murano Italy”. Murano glass with this label are extremely scarce. Measures: 2.87″ diameter x 2″ height. In very good condition, with only minor abrasions to one small area. Unique Design Vintage Art Paperweight Large Infused Glass Ball. This paperweight it’s a beautiful, huge and heavy glass ball with a floral motif inside. Solid glass looking more like an egg. A large pink flower, frogs, millefiori elements embedded at the base , all made with great attention to details. Particular attention is paid to the center of the flower, surrounded by petals. A very original and unique ball. It’s a vintage piece of art but as new conditions, no scratches and dents. An incredible attraction for collectors of glass paperweights. His gorgeous glass sculptures of birds, animals, plants, and historic figures are hand-painted & hand-etched. And are recognized and collected not only in Scandinavia, but the world over. Jonasson (born 1945) is a Swedish glass designer. He is notable for his engraved lead crystal sculptures of flowers and wildlife that are manufactured by the glassworks in Målerås, Sweden and are marketed around the world.
