Stunning earlier work by renowned glass artist Rick Satava of Chico, California. In the early 1990s, Satava was inspired by a visit to an aquarium and began creating work he is now known for, including his aquarium work. This piece would have been made early on after that inspiration. He continues to make nautical and aquarium style glass art, but in different styles to this one. It measures 3.12″ wide, 2.78″ high, and weighs 1 lb 6 ounces. It is in excellent condition. I observed it carefully and did not see any chips or flea bites. Please let me know any questions.

The school changed its name to Christopher Newport University in 1992. The clear glass material adds a touch of elegance to the piece, while the pewter logo provides a nice contrast.
