UNUSUAL & RARE Vintage Murano blue opalescent glass desk set with ridged glass detailing and with each piece carrying its original vintage red and gold foil Murano label. Dating sometime around 1950′s – 1960 I believe. The set comprises a pair (TWO) of paper clip pin dishes or trays with wrythen ridged glass frames PLUS one matching style letter holder PLUS an ornamental paperweight bird fashioned as a little bird. Salviati produced a lot of similar blue opalescent glass? Dimensions: the letter holder is 13 cm wide by 8 cm high by 6 cm wide and each desk tidy/paper clip tray is 10 cm across and the paperweight bird is about 8 cm long. In super condition-there is the odd tiny bubble and marks consistent with age and from when it was made. The vintage Venezia postcards shown sitting in the letter holder are not included in the listing and are there to give a sense of scale only.
