LARGE VINTAGE EXBOR CZECHOSLOVAKIA ART GLASS PAPERWEIGHT WITH LABEL SKLO. EXCEPTIONAL HAND BLOWN EXBOR ART GLASS PAPERWEIGHT. Presenting a stunning vintage hand blown art glass paperweight, created by the quality Czechoslovakian makers, Exbor circa 1950s. This exceptionally large and impressive example features six expertly formed charcoal black flowers with large central air bubbles and stems rising out of a mottled vibrant orange, yellow and blue ground. On close examination the individual flowers appear to formed out of layers fine latticino-like threads adding a stunning dimension to the encased forms. The expertly formed flowers and radiant mottled ground are encased within a solid clear glass orb which acts as a lens, magnificently magnifying and distorting the shapes and colours within to create exquisite optical effects. The masterful techniques and striking colour combination ensure this is an exceptional example of quality hand crafted Czechoslovakian studio art glass. The images will far better portray the sheer beauty of this masterfully crafted Mid Century example of hand crafted Czechoslovakian art glass! This impressive paperweight stands approx 73mms tall and measures approx 95mms in diameter. This substantial piece weighs just over 900 grams unpackaged. This stunning paperweight is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. There are some light surface scratches to the quality flat ground polished base, consistent with a piece of this vintage having been placed on a surface and a good sign of an authentically vintage example. The original blue and gold foil “Exbor Czechoslovakia” label remains in place to the base with some wear mentioned for accuracy. This superb piece would make an outstanding addition to any Exbor, Czechoslovakian Studio art glass, or quality paperweight collection!
