This source of mother-of-pearl used for jewelry and fine inlay work is made more iridescent in this fluid shape designed for Steuben by David Dowler. Perfect for your coastal home, a special gift for birthday, anniversary. This wonderful Abalone Shell has the superb heft and clarity that is a hallmark of Steuben. This shell is a larger piece at approx. 4″ long by 3″ wide. Is new in original box with no chips, no cracks, no scratches and NO signs of display or base bottom wear, correctly signed “Steuben” in diamond point script along the bottom edge. This will come packed in it’s vintage original fine Steuben gift box with flannel bag and Steuben Care booklet. You will be thrilled with this beautiful art glass. I have set a very fair price for an outstanding hand made vintage but new in box Steuben design. Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It was the world’s foremost artisan glass house. Steuben was hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY. Because it was hand made, each piece is unique. Steuben glass was frequently the United States’ gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no seconds.
