Robert Eickholt is a renowned glass artisan who studied glass blowing in Berkley, California and later completed his graduate studies at Ohio State University and the Columbus College of Art and Design. In 1978, he opened Eickholt Glass Studio in Columbus, Ohio. Eickholt retired in 2013.

Picked this up at a estate sale. This beautiful paperweight is very large and heavy and it weighs 12lbs and 13+oz. Item is in good used condition. Item does have some slight surface wear (scuffs or scratches that are not really noticeable unless you are looking up close) but does seem to have bumped up against something in two places. Please see pictures of these two areas(about 3/8 of an inch)they are NOT chipped out and you can run your finger over them and just slightly feel them.

This Piece is Handcrafted from multiple layers of molten glass, this glass showcases the free-floating and ethereal qualities of jellyfish. After absorbing light, it continues to captivate with its glow-in-the-dark properties. This statement piece will add artistry and sophistication to any room. Phosphorescent powders are used to create the glow, after exposure to light the jellyfish will glow a bluish/green hue when in complete darkness.
