This is a beautiful art glass Paperweight, in a very popular and collectible design. It is thick clear glass with a double overlay of white under a top coating of ruby/blood red glaa. Inside is a mushroom of close packed millefiori canes in bright colors, and loaded with gold sparkling aventurine around a vivid blue underside. Murano Italy in origin and unknown maker. This is a quality piece, besides a few great Murano artists only a few other companies made pieces in this style including Baccarat, St. Lesser companies did not make these like this. His measures about 3″ wide by 2-1/4″ tall. Good condition for vintage, no chips or cracks, just light scratching on bottom from age which is regular patina used to note an items age.
