Zellique Studio Art Glass Paperweight Description and Item Information Up for sale is this unusual, vintage Zellique studio art glass paperweight. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This paperweight has an encased flower design inside. The area behind the flowers seems to look either blue or brown, depending on the background against which you are viewing it. The lower half of the exterior has a ribbed texture. The odd-looking halos to the upper half of the paperweight (visible in Photo 3) are optical effects; this upper portion is smooth. This piece stands approximately 2 5/16 inches tall. It has a maximum width of about 2 9/16 inches. Unpacked, this piece weighs about 15.2 ounces. The base is nicely finished (ground and polished). This would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio art art glass. Identification This piece is marked beneath, Zellique Studio Feb 1982 Joe Morel. Joseph Morel’s Zellique studio was located in Benicia, California until 2005. Condition The paperweight looks great, with no chips or cracks. It has very, very light wear. Terms of Sale 1.
