Vintage WHITE FRIARS 1977 Silver Jubilee Glass Faceted Millefiori Paperweight. 1977 Silver Jubilee paperweight celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The shape features 6 facets round the side and a concave top. The piece is gorgeous with brilliant pink, purples and white on a dark blue ground. The complex cane millefioris are of small flowers tight detail and in six joined circles. There are date canes for 1952 and 1977 and also “E II R”. I believe this is a Limited Edition weight as “565″ is etched on the bottom. The diameter of the weight is 82mm and the height is 48mm. Fabulous collectors item in its original. There is a couple of very light scratches to one side which can be seen in photograph 5. The box also shows slight wear.
