Vintage Paul Ysart harlequin glass paperweight. Paul Ysart’Harlequin’ glass paperweight. Measures 5.5cm tall and diameter is 7.5cm. Glass is in great condition. No chips, scratches, cracks or bruises. Housed in a plain presentation box. I always inspect items in great detail and list any major faults such as cracks & chips in the description. You should expect some age related signs of wear such as very small fine surface scratches/marks. Also many of the items are hand made, they may have small imperfections such as bubbles, inclusions & lumps within the glass and often tool marks from where they have been shaped and worked in the manufacturing process. This Is A Larger Than Normal 1970s Harland Period Harlequin Glass Paperweight, These Larger Size Weights Are Very Rare And Much Sought After Usual Dimensions Are Around 2.75″ Diameter Whereby This Weight Measures 3.2″ Diameter. Main Design Consists Of Usual Central Control Bubble Which Is Further Surrounded By Another 8 Control Bubbles Around The Perimeter Of The Weight, All This Is Over A Thin Layer Of Translucent Cobalt Blue Ground Which is Completely Covered With Many Crushed And Mostly Complete Complex Millefiori Canes, This Really Is A Very Desirable Item For Any Ysart Collection. As Is Usual On These 1970s Harland Period Weights The Base Has Had Its Pontil Mark Completely Removed By Going Through The Process Of Having Had A Highly Flat Polish Finish. Measurements :- Diameter 81mm / Height 62mm. Condition :- Excellent No Dings, No Annealing Cracks, Damage Or Any Restoration. Nice millefiori paperweight by the renowned Paul Ysart. Measures about 2.25 across and it is a small paperweight. Signed with the “H” cane and the Paul Ysart Paper Label so it would date ca. The 1970 – 1975 era. I have the original Paul Ysart brochure also, as shown. Comes from a local Dallas estate, guaranteed authentic. The pics tell the rest of the story. CONDITION: Paul Ysart label on the underside is faded as shown and there is some drawer storage type wear to the brochure. Paperweight itself is basically perfect without wear or damage of any sort.
