Vintage M. BIECHNER BLACK WIDOW SPIDER PAPERWEIGHT Vitrix Studio, 1980, 3.25

For your consideration is a rare Matthew Biechner, art glass paperweight. It measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. The paperweight is designed with a large embossed black widow spider on the top. The body is black with a red dot on its back. It is on a bumpy, clear reflective glass background. The bottom is signed Vitrix Studio 1980, M Biechner. The artist has been featured in the Corning Museum of Art. The paperweight is in great condition without chips or cracks. This is an unusual find and would make a delightful gift for a collector. Possibly one of the most beautiful paperweights I have seen! Minty green spider and the perfect morning glory blue flower. Add the glittery color through to the amethyst color shown in the daylight. Large size measuring about 3 in diameter. Signed Orient & Flume as well as another word I cant make out and May 1979. All sales are final.
